The number of new COVID-19 patients in Mumbai city on Saturday spiked by 574.With the increase in cases, the overall tally has risen to 2,69,704 lakh.
However, the number of recoveries dropped drastically.
Today, 586 people were discharged after recovery. So far, 2,45,245 lakh people have been discharged.The active cases stand at 10,570.
However, 15 people also lost their lives. The overall toll has increased to 10,570.
Among those dead, 11 people had co-morbidities and 7 were above the age of 13.
The doubling rate of cases is 255 days, while the recovery rate is 91 per cent.
The active containment zones (slums and chawls) and high-risk contacts remain below 500.
Dharavi reported one new case, while Mahim and Dadar reported 7 and 3 cases, respectively.
